Utha Sa Kemzit (Unitied Kemzali Families)

Clan History

The Kemzali were one of the first outworlder clans of the Directorate, made up almost entirely of two species native to their home system, the kobari and kemzali. The former are the vast majority of the population, biologically specialized into specific castes. While Kemzali, by birth, rule as semi-divine figureheads.

Extremely long lived, they had been a spacefaring people long before rokhandans, but their development was comparatively slow and they lacked access to any FTL technologies. While resistant to joining the Directorate, their desperation for an ability to expand beyond their border forced their hand.

Since joining, they've remained strong and steadfast Directorate patriots, convinced of the Directorate's eventual rule of the galaxy and even beyond ideally by kemzali hands, and have had small cadres of other species in the directorate, mostly among those who for whatever reason have no desire to participate in politics or desire an extremely structured, caste-based society or simply really enjoy lower gravity worlds.

Clan Specialization

Most kemzali technologies are distinct from the broader Directorate, representing a very different path of development but excel in a few fields. Most notably, basic psionic understanding and neural interfaces of the kemzali tend to be cleaner, more mature and form the basis for numerous broader directorate advances in the field.

Clan Reputation

In a word, poor. Most rokhandans don't understand the kemzali's relationship with the kobari, consider them borderline slavers and are disgusted by their cultural belief in the virtues of conquest, dominance and power. The kemzali do little to dissuade rumor and negative beliefs as they culturally consider fear to be a form of flattery. It should be noted that the clan does not consider 'truth'
